 Day 1  - GCS Overview Training, 9:00am - 5:00pm

GCS Overview Training starts with the General Ledger and how the Chart of Accounts, Pools, Contracts and financial data are structured in GCS Premier. Using a pilot database set up with the MOST USED features and settings for most small government contractors we will:

Set up a T&M Contract •Post Timesheets and Accounts Payable •Run the Revenue and Billing Process• Print the Statement of Indirect Expenses• Run a Month End Closing.

Days 2 and 3 - GCS Contracts and Billing Overview, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Set up Cost Plus, T&M and Fixed Price Contracts

Bid & Proposal Charge numbers following a Best Practices method that works for most small contractors

Processing steps including:

Entering Timesheets

• AP Vouchers for consultants and subs

• The Posting Process.

After posting, we'll run and discuss the following processes:

Computing Revenue

• Printing Job Status Reports

• Reviewing the Contract Revenue Summary

• Posting the Revenue Journal.

Billing Overview section,

• Process billings and Post the billing journals

• Review the unbilled receivables report.

Day 4 - GCS Month End Closing Process , 9:00am - 5:00pm

Steps for Closing based on the Deltek Special Topics called Closing the Accounting Period- customized for Solvability's recommended Best Practices plus the sequence of steps tying out reports and the Financial Reporting Package.

Day 5  - Impromptu for GCS Premier, 9:00am - 5:00pm

The Basics of creating a simple Impromptu Report: Hands-on practice to developing your own reports using a series of report building examples

• Finding the data fields for your report

• The range of basic Impromptu tools.
